Application of DSF200 in Flue Gas Desulfurization Tower Fan Manholes

Problems Encountered:

As desulphurisation is a key step in the environmental protection system, the desulphurisation tower fan needs to have a high degree of stability and reliability to ensure the normal operation of the whole desulphurisation system. As a device for conveying gas containing sulphur dioxide (SO2), the customer used asbestos gaskets earlier, but due to the effects of sealing surface gaps and deformation, the sealing effect of asbestos gaskets is not very good, plus asbestos is harmful to the environment and human health, the customer would like to look for alternative materials.

Solution and Customer Benefits:

As the flue gas contains corrosive substances and the long-term application temperature is between 160℃~200℃, we recommended DSF200 enhanced expanded PTFE sealing material to the customer, which can follow the shape of the seal, can effectively avoid the sealing surface gap and deformation of the impact of the sealing surface, and can be used stably in the high and low temperature cycle. After the use of SF200 sealing material, the customer replacement frequency is greatly reduced, reducing maintenance costs and downtime, to ensure the reliable operation of the system.
